This little mountain (about 10.000 Ha, 25.000 acres) call Sierra de Carrascoy, is where I grew up. How can you place the mountain in the world, HERE. My father used to work in a big farm on this mountain, so I had the chance to explore what was going on in these hillsides.

ESCRIBANO

(Broken English) This beautiful guys (male and female of Emberiza cirlus) let me enjoy for five minutes of its extraordinary beauty. It is the first time I see them. Happy. 

(Spanish) Aunque común, nunca antes habia visto un Escribano soteño (Emberiza cirlus), el color del pecho es espectacular. Hoy esta parejeta han visitado una pequeña charca en el Barrio de los Rubios. Es curioso la diferencia de color entre el macho (arriba) y la hembra (abajo), parece que tiene que ser el macho el que se pavonee para conseguir la hembra, espero verlos más a menudo.
