This little mountain (about 10.000 Ha, 25.000 acres) call Sierra de Carrascoy, is where I grew up. How can you place the mountain in the world, HERE. My father used to work in a big farm on this mountain, so I had the chance to explore what was going on in these hillsides.

EMBALSES DE RIEGO Y ZAMPULLINES. HELPING BIRDS TO NEST ON YOUR IRRIGATION WATER RESERVOIR.

My father and I decided this year help a kind of grebe (zampullin comun) to make a nest in our water reservoir. We use a pallet with empty plastic cans under it. Here I sow the results. Esta temporada de cría hemos puesto un pale flotando en el embalse y los zampullines han podido construir un nido, no sobre el, si no junto a el. El pale se mantiene a flote ajustando bidones vacíos en su parte inferior. Ya hay tres pollitos de zampullin.
