(Broken english) This is how the ground under the lemon trees look like one year after stop using herbicides. And here are some of the new members of our family, all rich-soil likers. They are not welcome, but that is the way for a sustainable agriculture. What we got is less production but better prices. Does it mean that the poorest peoble is looseing the opportunity to eat more healthy, or merely to eat? I hope not, because then this is not the right way.
(Spanish) Este es el panorama actual de los limoneros, creo que empezamos a tolerar las malas hierbas, aqui solo les pongo nombres a unas cuantas, las que parecen querer ser las protagonistas. Tras un año sin usar herbicidas, ni abonos inorganicos, la produccion de limones aunque ha mermado algo, los precios han compensado. Es mucho aventurarse, pero me gustaria decir que es posible hacer una agricultura sostenible (al menos con limones) y proveer de frutos no solo a los europeos ricos, tambien al ama de casa o estudiante que compra frutas en la tienda de la esquina.
Para un bichero como yo, el cambio de sistema de cultivo, de intensivo a respetuoso, trae muchas ventajas.
